Ernie specializes tunes the best pianos for the best pianists in Ann Arbor. It is my understanding that he primarily specializes in tuning grands and baby grands.

My wife bought me a 1928 Steinway grand a little over a year ago, and on the recommendation of friends, I hired Ernie to tune it. He did an excellent job, and I've hired him back twice. He also tunes for most of the people in a 25 member piano group I belong to, as well as for most of the events at Kerrytown Concert House. Semi-retired, he prefers not to do technician work (repair), and he prefers to work on high quality pianos. If you have a good piano and want it in perfect tune, call Ernie.

I called this Ernest Caviani guy to see if he could fix my two-octave piano, which has a bad E-flat key that isn't hitting the string properly. He snubbed it as a child's toy and said three times, "I'm not interested." So I finally said, "Oh, never mind" and hung up. What an impolite snob. He won't fix one bad key because it's not a full-sized piano? It is made by Schoenhut probably from the '50s or '60s and is still perfectly in tune. Ernest C. Caviani, you suck. When it comes to dealing with potential customers, you are tone deaf.
