This company is terrible! We hired this company to replace our three skylights at our property in south Everett, WA 98203 on September 8th 2020 and although we tried the best to get the work done as quick as possible, trying to avoid raining days, the owner of the company Mr. Barela didn't seem the same way and we waited for almost two months to finally have the skylights installed on Oct. 28th, 2020. I was in the overseas at the time of the skylights replacement, and when I came to home in July 2021, I happened to notice that the interior structure of the new skylights were extremely skewed, this was one thing. The worst thing was the three new skylights all have one deep, wide and long gap surrounding them exposing the room attics, letting hot air flow into rooms in the summer time and cold air in the winter time. We spent almost $2000 ($1987.66) to have the new skylights installed, and Barela gave us these garbage results. I contacted Barela on the 2nd of August 2021 raising the question why our new skylights looked this ugly? Barela replied that the problems I mentioned were from the interior and he was only responsible for the work above the roof, anything under the roof was not his responsibility. He said we needed to hire an interior expert or carpenter to finish the problems we had. This was a baloney!!! we paid him the highest to install the new skylights, not asked or expected him to give us a semi-finished and defective products! Barela said the contract signed between he and us did not ask him to do the interior of the skylights, which was also a baloney! the said contract had no words reflecting what he said. on the contrary, the American contract law says, "the contract seller should deliver to the contract buyer a good-on-average product unless the contract specifies otherwise". We were given three pieces of garbage and Barela refuse either to fix the problems or monetarily compensate us (even symbolically or small and partially compensation I'll agree). Even worse, he fabricated that I'm the most "difficult customer" to deal with, and I was looked like "cunning man", unscrupulously took advantage of him to get a better business deal. This was totally nonsense! I don't know from where he got all of these trashes? He said he would never do business with me. Fine!!!! Thank you very very much for saying so. What Barela did and say did teach me a lesson: Try to avoid the wicked, that will save you money, time and life!
