TERRIBLE experience. Anas Abuelhawa (aka "Chris") is a one man scam artist. He's enlisted his wife, family members and others with the same last name to post positive reviews for him. His phone number address was associated with another HVAC company (5 Diamonds HVAC) that obviously shut down for screwing people over. "Chris" responded to a HomeAdvisor request for HVAC guy. He was the only one to quickly respond at night. My condensing unit wasn't operating. He did something to my unit that got it temporarily running again. He did tell me that the unit was old & needed to be replaced. Within one month, it broke down again. Chris returned & told me to get a new condensing unit & air handler. I doubt he even attempted to fix it. I agreed to go forward. He showed up with an off brand condensing unit & air handler. He didn't have a team or crew - just a friend or relative with him. The unit initially worked BUT it didn't shut off. The temp in the house went down to 52 degrees. The only way to turn it off was to flip the breakers. Then, in a couple more days, it stopped working completely. Since that time (8-12-21) to today, "Chris" has been stringing me along - promising each day to show up and repair the unit. It has been CRUEL. He texted me each day saying he'd show up "after 3" or "after 5". He never returned. He'd text me things like, "I really apologize hun but...." Always an excuse & promise to show up the next day. He's finally ghosted me when I asked him WHY he kept stringing me along in this heat??? He's a horrible individual & completely UNTRUSTWORTHY. He's NOT licensed (only has "Pending" HVAC license.) There are at least 3 BBB complaints (I'll file the 4th). He's an awful human being who kept me and my family thinking he'd show up. His true rating is LESS THAN 0.

Here is my horrendous experience with this company. Last September, I had central air conditioning installed in my home by Finesse Airflow HAVC located in Garfield, NJ. The owner's name Chris Hawa. Chris came and assessed my house for installing a new central A/C system. He is a smooth talker and made me believe where he would most likely be able to install duct work. He said it would take about three days to complete. It took 11 days....not 3 days. Before Chris' crew started the work, Chris said he would apply for the township permit. On the first day of the job, I asked if the permit was submitted and Chris said, yes. Several days during this project, Finesse either was very late or didn't show up for work, lying that their van broke down or some other excuse. Somehow this "van" broke down twice. Chris was caught in this lie when he gave a different reason for not showing up than the person who called to say they weren't coming on those missed days. Throughout these "work" days, I had to argue with Chis several times about where he was and was not going to put duct work (bathrooms, hallways, and basement). I also had to argue where I wanted the thermostats, as where he wanted to put them, I knew it would not be the proper placement for an accurate temperature reading for that level of the house. Chris seems to always take the easiest route for him and not the practical route. Upon their work completion, he wanted full payment. I told him that the work is not 100% complete until the township inspects his work. I then asked him if he let the town know that the work was completed and he answered, yes. I asked for proof of the submitted permit and he said he did not have any proof, but assured me it was filed. I refused to give Chris the full final payment as I told him, full payment will not be given until the work passed the township inspection. In good faith, I even gave him part of the final payment. My wife and I were verbally harassed by Chris separately, demanding the final payment. He first spoke with my wife demanding the payment. She was beyond terrified of Chris with his harassment towards her. When he then spoke with me, I stood my ground and told him that no contractor gets full payment until the township approves the work that was done. He then said he would remove the condenser if I didn't give him the final payment. I told him he is not allowed to do that as I have made all of my necessary timely payments. I had to threaten to call the police if he touched the condenser, and told him he is no longer allowed on my property. Before he left, he told me he would get back to me about when the township inspector would be coming for the inspection. After about a week, I did not hear from Chris or the building department. I then went to the township building department and asked if a permit was ever filed. The clerk said no permit was ever filed. As of this review, Finesse has still not applied for the township permit, even though they got a violation from the township, and it was written and then signed by Chris that the balance will be given after the township’s finalized inspection. Finesse also contacted a credit agency to obtain the last payment without the township inspection. So in summary, if you are stupid enough like me to use this company, at least you know what I went through. As the saying goes..... "Forewarned is forearmed!"

At first he was nice and seemed to have done a nice job installing my ductless unit. A couple month later it stopped working. Now he ignores my calls and refuses to repair and stand by his work. Stay Away!!!
