Worst experience ever! Jamie Dayton subcontracted 100% of the work out and hired the most inexpensive and unskilled laborers possible. None of the work was done correctly. The framing needs significant repairs as none of the rafters or joists are straight, level, or plum. In fact, the rafters were hung at a different angle than the existing rafters on our home creating waves in the roof. None of the boards sit flush as the cuts were done at the wrong angles. He used the wrong color mortar for the brickwork even though we sent him the specs from our builder. He attempted to blame it on Acme Brick but that was later proven false when I spoke with the Sales Manager from the Houston area Acme Brick. We have a quote from Brick Restoration, a company recommended by Acme Brick to fix these types of issues, for $2,660 to paint the mortar. He still has money from us for work that he hasn't performed. We have requested multiple times for him to return the money paid for services not provided. We also requested money back to repair all of his mistakes. As expected, he's not returning calls or emails. And, to top it all off, we've heard from several of the subcontractors that he hasn't paid them for their work on our job. Do yourself a favor and do your research before signing any contract. Jamie is neither insured nor bonded. We signed a contract with him based on a lack of negative feedback online at the time we signed (he now has at least 3 complaints on BBB) as well as a recommendation from a neighbor (who later said he also used the wrong mortar on their job as well).
