Brett and I helped a builder and homeowner in the Bigfork area with a custom mirror that was quite fun! Precision Glass ordered the mirror with radius corners and then made the final custom grinding & adjustments on site. We think this custom mirror turned out really well and lines up with the crown mold trim quite well!

We recently helped a customer up in Columbia Falls replace her old windows with some new Pella 250 series windows. She especially likes being able to open her windows and get the fresh breeze blowing through the house. The old windows were painted shut, had storm windows, and definitely needed to go! Why do we like the Pella 250 series? They are quite energy efficient for the price point, they are a more affordable option, and they have the Pella brand & warranty!

We had some fun designing and installing a mirror with a hidden medicine cabinet for a client in Kalispell! The client had always wanted something like this and it took some design work (especially around the hinges and hinge point) to figure out how everything would line up, operate properly and still have the cabinet fully hidden.

Channeled Tile for Custom Shower Enclosures: Why? Why does Precision Glass channel the tile when installing custom shower enclosures? Doesn't this lead to water damage and more work? Why bother? The above questions came up on a recent Precision Glass shower install job and we thought to also answer them here... 1. Why channel? Channeling the tile makes for a much cleaner look with minimal hardware. It's currently a very modern & in-style look for your custom glass shower! You can find some photos below that showcase this more. 2. Does channeling the tile lead to more tile work? Yes it does! There's no way to get around it. Channeling leads to more cutting and demands a higher quality tile installation. 3. Does channeling lead to water damage? A very valid concern especially when we're talking about showers and the answer is No! During the glass shower installation process, Precision Glass Techs waterproof the channel itself with manufacturer recommended sealants. Once the glass is installed the Precision Glass Techs also seal the glass to the top of the tile to further increase waterproofing. Overall at Precision Glass we love the clean look of channeled tile when a custom glass shower is being installed. Adding a mirror can definitely change your room! This full length mirror that Precision Glass installed for a customer near Bigfork made the bathroom feel quite a bit larger. Also, did you notice the blue tape in the upper corners? This is a trick we use to keep the metal edging seam tight while the glue sets!

We recently helped a builder up in Columbia Falls with a house remodel project. Precision Glass installed both the tile and custom glass on this project. The herringbone pattern is a bit more complex to install and boy does it look nice when the corners line up! The rest of the bathroom hardware will match the glass shower door hardware color to tie everything together. It was a fun project!
