Ravenworth Contractor is a small family owned company in business for 30 years. They did an excellent job in extensively renovating my kitchen last year. Glenn and Craig Tobias and their work crew had wonderful, creative ideas, were flexible, on time, and unbelievably neat (my place was left spotless before they left daily). Their professionalism and honesty are hard to come by. When a few stumbling blocks were encountered Glen had a “can do” attitude and found solutions for whatever the issue. The crew was prompt, friendly and professional. They performed their jobs with quality workmanship and care. The job was completed ahead of schedule and within budget. This team should be your contractor for remodeling, no matter how minor or major the project is, inside or outside. You won’t be disappointed and I highly recommend them without any reservations! There should be more than 5-star ratings!

Hundsford Lane Interior Remodel | Jun 2013 | Our client LOVED their neighborhood and didn't want to move. But they wanted their home to serve the needs of their family and be comfortable for their frequent guests. Structural integrity was also highly important to them as was sound separation from room to room. When we finished reinforcing the subfloors and adding special sound-reduction insulation, the no-sag, no-bounce wood floors were one of the husband's favorite benefits of the project. They wanted more "flow" while continuing to need some level of isolation from time to time. So we enlarged some of the openings between the rooms and added a "back band" to the door casings to maintain proportion between the new larger openings and their respective trim. For the dining-to-living room opening, we designed, had custom manufactured and installed a special, multi-purpose door which allowed for anything from full isolation between the two rooms, to a simple one-person opening to a full 6' wide opening or any combination in between. Custom built-ins flanked a new gas fireplace with its custom tile surround. A once run-of-the-mill foyer powder room became a showplace with custom pocket door, vessel sink, custom pendant light fixture and new, efficient toilet. A new kitchen with separate baking center, crushed ice maker, two-level island, two-tone granite countertops, farm sink and many other features rounded out the first floor project for this repeat customer (who, ultimately, contracted us to remodel their entire 5-level home and backyard.) | $65k | Springfield, VA
Octavia Ct. Kitchen and Bath | May 2012 | A fun story brought and a referral from a local realtor brought about this remodel project. An antique lamp inherited from a family member sold thanks to the Antique Road Show for just enough money to fund the project. A long-time friend of the client and successful realtor who also knew us and knew our work connected us. The rest is history. We removed a wall between the original kitchen and dining room, repaired the floor so that you never knew the wall was there and then, remodeled the kitchen. We had to provide some very custom carpentry to work around some plumbing so cabinets could go to the ceiling. Something other contractors before us had said couldn't be done. The master bathroom was one of those carpeted rooms with a vanity and a separate water closet with tub and shower. They weren't excited with what they had, you might say. So we redesigned the floor plan, opened up the wall and, well, you'll see the rest in the photos. Enjoy, this one was a real beauty. | $68k | Springfield, VA
Hickory St Porch & Patio - Award Winning! | May 2012 | This project won several awards and landed our company in a major, local publication focusing on the Washington area. Our customer was looking for more outdoor living space. The small but highly valued Alexandria, VA property was, fortunately, an end unit townhouse which afforded us some additional space. A local architect drew the plans for the porch and we designed the patio area in house. All porch posts are wrapped in a maintenance free product. The ceiling is fir beadboard, the floors hardwood specially finished to withstand weather. The patio is built according to ICPI standards (www.ICPI.org) using travertine pavers in a Roman pattern. The sitting walls are W. Va fieldstone. This spot has become a real favorite in the neighborhood which we're certain is magnified by the fact that the clients were absolutely delightful people to work with. | $40k | Alexandria, VA
Vienna Portico | Jun 2011 | This Vienna, Va client had two problems, water was leaking into the front of their home just off of Lawyers Rd, and, they hated the look of their builders grade portico. The original portico just wasn't their style. They engaged us to both design and build a new, 100% maintenance-free and more upscale portico. We provided CAD drawings to they could select the exact molding profiles and the overall design. The entire project, from the sculpted single columns which replaced two smaller ones on each side, the the stately balustrades atop the portico, is covered with maintenance free materials. We added a beadboard ceiling and recessed lights to finish it all off. | $19k | Vienna, VA |
