This contractor was sent to me by my home warranty company. After buying my home and remodeling it there was a leak found in my living room ceiling directly below the guest bathroom upstairs during that process. I was assured it had been taken care of by the previous owners but once I moved in it reappeared. I had new tile put in the bathroom and a licensed plumber I have used for years reinstall the toilet. Through trial and error of not using and re-seating and sealing the toilet three times using brand-new O-rings and wax etc. my plumber and I had ruled out the toilet being the issue so I had to use the home warranty I purchased when I bought my home. They gave me the work order and said this contractor would call me within 24 hours. He did not I had to call him and then he would not come out for three days even though the bathroom was unusable and my ceiling was starting to sag. The technician 1 Call Contractor came today and refused to look at any other issue causing the leak despite my effort of explaining that it was not in anyway the toilet. This man told me he knew for a fact it was that the flange was not raised high enough after the tile has been installed even though he could not see it without taking the toilet up which he refused to do because the toilet was grouted to the tile. I had my plumber do that for aestectic reasons. This man diagnosed the leak without seeing under the toilet or opening up the ceiling below the bathroom. (I had tile installed in the master bath as well and there are no leaks under that bathroom so again it cannot be a flange issue) He refused repeatedly to talk about or consider any other possibilities and almost had my home warranty company refuse to repair or service my issue because he was convinced it was an issue my plumber had caused again without even taking the toilet up to see for fact that it was a flange issue my plumber caused etc. He became very unprofessional and disrespectful to me when I called the home warranty Company to tell them that he would not look at any other issue before pulling the toilet up. I even tried to get him to allow me to call the plumber that I had used so he could talk to him directly which he refused. I have never dealt with any contractor or service person who was so unprofessional and so unwilling to listen to me. I know a lot of repair contractors think a single Woman doesn't know a flange from a O ring but I do. This is a my second home remodel in three years so I do have some knowledge and understanding of plumbing, electrical and other issues regarding home repair The main problem was this contractor was so disrespectful, Unprofessional and completely dismissed me and anything I tried to say to him. My home warranty company will be sending someone else out and when they do I will update this review and show what the true problem is which is probably either the drain pan clogged under the shower or something going on with the pipes under the bathroom and subfloor.
