About William Richards LLC
William Richards has the knowledge and expertise to assist you with your residential home improvement needs. Established in 1983, he began as a sub-contractor, servicing general contractors in many areas of residential construction. In 1991 Bill became a licensed general contractor servicing his own clients in residential construction and hasn't looked back. He says," we value our customers by providing quality craftsmanship, an open line of communication, coaching along the way and because we have chosen to stay a relatively small family owned and operated company, we are very competitively priced." Now that his two sons, Bill and Jim have continued to treat every client as if they were family and their projects as if it were their own home "Big Bill" ventures off at times doing handyman projects but still continuing to do one job at a time. Like Bill says," We do it very well. Once we're done, then and only then do we move onto the next project."

My deck reconstruction was very large. It resulted from the dismantling of a above ground pool that was partially surrounded by an existing deck. The deck was 27 years old and in need of repair. Bill was very fast in getting with me to discuss my project, and we setup an appointment immediately. He not only came totally prepared to quote the project and give me a completion timeframe, he also had many great ideas both before the project was started and during its construction. His quote was very reasonable, and his start date and project timeframe were great. The final deck is 35 by 28 feet on 2 levels and includes a connected 10 by 10 deck. It has extensive railing and many great features, including 2 sets of stairs. His team was friendly and very knowledgeable. They were very considerate of my home and lawn and kept me informed of any delays (very few, and not under their control). I'm extremely pleased with my deck and would highly recommend him. The only surprise on this project was how smoothly it went!
