Wayne's carpentry service

I called Wayne about two carpentry projects in my historic Baltimore row house. He said he could look at them between 4 :00 and 4:30 that evening. He arrived at 6:30; Wayne seemed impressed with the restoration I had done and agreed to do the work. He wanted to start over the weekend, but since that would leave no time for the finishes to dry (I restore and finish the wood myself) he promised to call during the week to schedule and discuss pricing. When I had not heard from him by Wednesday, I called him and reminded him that we needed to schedule the work and agree on a price. Friday afternoon he left a message saying he could start Saturday morning. I did not call back.

We are very, very pleased with the new stairs added to our existing deck. The stairs have eight steps to a platform and then a change in direction and eight steps to the deck surface. The construction of the stairs is well coordinated with the style of the existing deck rails and spindles. Wayne even took care to place the boards of the stair landing on the diagonal to match the layout of the deck. He noted that we had some spare flagstone under the deck and went the extra mile to lay in a piece of flagstone at the end of the final step. The area was well cleaned after the job was done. Wayne also built four custom shelves for a built in storage unit. They fit perfectly and look great. Wayne also fixed a fence gate that no longer closed or latched properly. Today the deck stairs passed county inspection with no issues whatsoever. Family members and guests have admired his workmanship. I am happy to highly recommend Wayne’s Carpentry Service.

My wife and I are extremely pleased with the two exterior doors, a storm door and an interior door that Wayne installed. His craftsmanship is top notch, he provide helpful advice and he completed the work quickly. I will recommend Wayne to friends.
