I give Rob ZERO STARS. He is a liar and a thief! I tried to be patient and understanding, but I was just a fool! If you google his name and company, you can see that he scammed lots of people out of their deposits, without completing the work, including myself. I tried to give this guy a chance (small business owner and father), but lie after lie he told. We are not the only ones going after him to get their money back. Karma will get him for sure. Or the law, if I have anything to do with it. Sorry Rob, but you brought all this on yourself!

Rob comes across as a good person, but he is nothing more than a professional thief. I paid him $1,700 for services that he never showed up to perform, and after weeks of excuses, he refused to return my money. Months later, he still refuses to perform the services or return my money. This many belongs in prison.

SCAMMER ALERT !!! Please do your self a favor and do not try to make any deal for repair/projects with Northern Illinois Construction. Gentleman by name Rob Groh sounded very professional and quick to respond even got an estimate that looked better then anyone else proposed looked professional for sure . We put down $350.00 towards our project and as soon as money got to him (PayPal) we were given all kinds of run around. Started with Home Depot not delivering concrete (and that is already was a sign that things won't be good -Home Depot has never delivered anything late, or if something was unclear always have a credit or got everything fixed up next day) then there was a Court date Rob suddenly had to attend, lawyer meeting next then his crew truck broke down then he had to meet with lawyer again in regards of his child s custody then again lawyer then had to pick up his kid and then it took him 3days to get product him self from Home Depot ....on and on and on...I did sign contract on 09/13 completion date was scheduled for 9/16 . So finally on 09/24 we gave him last chance to get this right and he could not even do that . Asked him to send receipt from Home Depot showing purchase date and something showing they cancelled delivery that did not happen. So 09/25 we did ask him to pay us back through PayPal since he did not complete work as agreed and could not provide documentation he was asked to provide . Of course there was no refund as he promised. So now we have 30days to wait on PayPal decision on refund. Not sure what will happen but the only choice we had now to file complain and wait.

Very suspicious that the writing style of all the positive reviews is the same - run-on sentences with little or no appropriate punctuation or capitalization. Equally suspicious is that the writing style of L's reply to one of the poor rating comments matches the writing style of all the good reviews! Coincidence? I think not.
