Get it in writing first!!! i wont bore with all the details but suffice to say that i was not expecting the bill that i was presented with. When challenged i was told that i was given a verbal quote, which i most certainly was not. My work was relatively straight forward for a plumber i would assume, but it consisted of a major part and misc plumbing parts to connect, and labor. A simple google search of the precise part info tells the price available to the consumer through home depot, and i would assume that there's a discount plumbers get through their channels that make this part even cheaper. When i challenged the bill i did have it confirmed that we agreed it to be a couple hour job. So unless the mark up on this part is 100% then their hourly rate is $200 an hour, or its not marked up that much for the part and their rate is even higher. When you know the part price and the hours involved, there's no way to justify the figure reasonably by any standards. If i was presented the figure in advance i would have had the opportunity to chat through that part and that's my mistake, but never in my wildest dreams did i think the bill for labor and materials was going to be even close to what i was charged. Fool me once, shame on you. But not twice.

Garrett and Michael were excellent. They came to repair a broken toilet in my master bathroom one day. Garrett looked at the other 3 toilets in my house and came back today to fix them. I could not be more pleased with their work ethic and professionalism.
