Villa Ventuno | Jun 2012 | Inspired by European villas, the palette for this home utilizes natural earth tones, along with molded eaves, precast columns, and stone veneer. The design takes full advantage of natural valley view corridors as well as negating the line between interior and exterior living. The use of windows and French doors allows virtually every room in the residence to open up onto the spacious pool courtyard. This allows for an extension of the indoor activities to the exterior. | Rancho Santa Fe, CA
AlphaStudio Design Group Tenant Improvement | May 2012 | The design aesthetic for AlphaStudio Design Groups new office space was centered on a contemporary industrial concept. Utilizing the native concrete tilt up panels as a backdrop, the color scheme is a refined neutral palette accented with red and charcoal. An open plan work space allows for flexibility and collaboration between team members. The glass conference room affords privacy, but allows natural light to flood the lobby. With high efficiency light fixtures, HVAC units, and office equipment, the studio uses less energy than comparable sized offices. The finished product is a reflection of the design ideas of AlphaStudio Design Group, as well as the personal style of its principals. | Carlsbad, CA
Hilltop Hacienda | Jun 2009 | Centered on seamless transitions of indoor and outdoor living, this open-planned Spanish Ranch style home is situated atop a modest hill overlooking Western San Diego County. The design references a return to historic Rancho Santa Fe style by utilizing a smooth hand troweled stucco finish, heavy timber accents, and clay tile roofing. By accurately identifying the peak view corridors the house is situated on the site in such a way where the public spaces enjoy panoramic valley views, while the master suite and private garden are afforded majestic hillside views. | Rancho Santa Fe, CA
Fallbrook Residence | Jun 2006 | New contemporary craftsman custom home in the community of Fallbrook. The design of the home utilizes a natural material palette, along with creating a visual and physical connection to the rural neighborhood. | Fallbrook, CA |
