Do not use this man! He built me a deck that was not up to code at all! I had a city inspector check it. Now it is costing me thousands to have it redone so it doesn't collaspse. Was just set on an existing slab of cement with no support. Steps loose and not anchored. Complete debacle. I could go on and on! He should be back in prison!!!

Mike's Construction is Michael Cortez. He operates under various names, sometimes in conjunction with Bruce O. Young (also under various names). These men are inept and construction but excellent at stealing your money. I hired them to do a basement remodel and over the course of three weeks they managed to put in roughly 30 man-hours of work. Days would go by with no work done at all. They constantly lied. They'd show up with clearly untrained assistants, or worse, leave unknown strangers on the job who would then question me about what they were to do. Both men have rap sheets and judgments against them dating back to the '70s. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I signed a contract with this company last summer and gave them a substantial downpayment. They never showed up to do the work and kept giving me excuses so I requested a refund and after getting the runaround for several weeks took them to court. I won a judgement to have my deposit returned and to date have been unable to collect. Do Not Do Business with This Company.
