This company is King of over promising and under delivering on their promises. Our first two calls to them were amazing. I needed a gas line redone so our newstove would sit flush against the wall and they did a great job. On the same day they also cleared out our sewer line and gave us a 30 day warranty. 9 days later it clogged and they came out to say we needed a secondary clean out installed in the yard, the job quote was just under $8,000. We agreed and we're told Friday they would call Jule and pull permits on Saturday June 22, 2024 the job would be completed. The plumber came out started to dig the hole and realized Jule never came. Called them and they came out marked the yard and they continued to dig the hole. After the hole was completed said they'd be back Monday morning to complete the job and asked if they could leave the fence down to save them time for the backhoe. We agreed and set the appointment for Monday. Received a confirmation text for 8am-12pm. Monday 11am came and we received an appointment text that said they'd be in Tuesday.. My wife called and they said the confirmation text was for a call to set an appointment (complete BS). I called and they said someone would be there Monday by 6pm to complete the job. 6pm no show I called and they said someone was on site and they weren't. 6:30 someone showed up but they didn't have the tools to complete the job. They put on the fence and said I'd like to say Id be here tomorrow but that's up to dispatch. We get a text saying they'd be here Tuesday July 26th 2024 to complete the job. Understandable as we had storms on Monday. Now at 10am another text saying it's for Wednesday July 27th 2024 with no call just a text. Call to find out and no one can give me answer. My advise is to stay away from J Blanton plumbing. Sad part is they do have great techs. The dispatch team is full of empty promises! Update: They completed the job and 6 days later I had another back up. The cleared out the blockage and are now saying I need to spend more money to complete the repair to guarantee their work. Guess the 1 year warranty on the last repair was a sales tactic. Stay away if you value your wallet and don't want to deal with headaches

Another thumbs-up for Jack and the crew at J Blanton Plumbing. Actually, I had to replace my 15 years water heater and they came and took care of it promptly. The cost was OK Well I guess nothing is cheap anymore that I understand but overall the job was done properly and the cost is justified.

J. Blanton Plumbing was very responsive to my service request, came out and fixed my flooding issue the same day. My water heater was 15 years old and burst at the seems to flood my basement. I called in a panic and they were there, extremely helpful and informative on my options, and installed a new Heater that same day. I recommend J. Blanton Plumbing to anyone looking for a quality, professional, and capable plumbing company.

Hyde Park Vintage Building Water Distribution Replacement | Sep 2015 | In a 100 year old vintage condo building in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood, there was very limited (and in some places NO) water flow out of faucets. We had been awarded the contract to remove the existing, rusted, and corroded galvanized steel water pipe with brand new copper "Type L" pipe. Using both solder and, new technology, Pro Press to join fittings. Adding ball valve shut offs on hot and cold sides to each individual fixture. As well as shut offs to all 5 sets of risers throughout the building. | $30k | Chicago, IL | |
