Kevin Witcombe's Tree Works

I would not recommend Kevin Whitcombe Tree Works. This company is unsafe and unprofessional. I was to have 3 very large trees trimmed and they did not come with the proper equipment. It was extremely unsafe. The owner is rude and unprofessional. Never again.

Overpriced quote and service on trimming my palms. Would not recommend.

December 3, 2015 To: Kevin Witcombe’s Tree Works, I am writing today to express my concern over services not received per written proposal, and am looking for a resolution to my satisfaction from your company. The written proposal I initially received stated the following work would be conducted: I was surprised that the day that the workmen came, it was raining. Given the weather conditions, I could have never anticipated their arrival, so did not make any preparations. I also had company over when they arrived. Due to these factors, I was not able to provide the proper oversight and as a result multiple personal property items were damaged, which I find to be unacceptable. Yes, some money was taken off for my broken umbrella, but nothing was mentioned about the ceramic pot, that was hidden from my view and is now not usable or repairable. What is far more distressing is that the work that was done was far less than that outlined in the written proposal, and it seems the bill reflects more of what was promised in the proposal as opposed to what was actually delivered. Given my situation at the time, I did not realize this discrepancy between work promised and actual work delivered until after the workmen left. I then called Kevin Witcombe on who stated “if we come back out you will be charged again” which does not address the issues at hand. I expect that the work that was outlined in my written proposal be completed with no additional charges prior to my payment. I request an update regarding this matter upon receipt of this letter . We have used Kevin and his crew several times over the last 8 years and plan to use them again in the future. Kevin is a down to earth, no nonsense type of guy and has a dependable crew. The second time Tree Works came out was to remove over 18 trees. The crew hit the ground running and immediately it was like watching a parade of ants crawling up and down in a organized manner. Crew cleans up after they are done and even mulched some of my trees for me to use for our landscaping. Stocked all our cut pines in the back of our property to save on cost. Last time they were out, Kevin had his stump grinder in the shop and was not able to remove our stumps until later. True to his word....a few months later he was back removing the stumps! Love to support family owned businesses who do quality work.
