| Fescue Sod Installation | Nov 2014 | This back yard was a total of about 1350 sq ft. We first removed the old existing lawn that was previously treated with herbicide to ensure competing grasses wouldn't come back later. We spread fast acting lime and 1 cubic yard of black leaf compost over the soil surface. We then cultivated the soil and blended the amendments. We laid the Tall Fescue sod over the prepared soil in a way that makes it looked like it's been striped with a mower. After laying it down, we trimmed it the landscape edge and rolled it with a 270 lb roller,. We then applied starter fertilizer and cleaned up.
