Chef's house

Jan 2014

Full master bath remodel. New shower pan and location of plumbing with mosaic tile and a recessed shelf. New heated floor tile. New cabinet, vanity and faucet. Recessed mirror and vanity light. Installed a pocket door to increase space. New wood doors and trim were installed. The owner wanted to go with a lighter stain and a gloss finish to give the project that special touch. The existing banister was not to code, so I came up with this design to flow with the rest of the house. Everything was rough and milled to a smooth finish. The owner wanted to remove the old bifold doors and install bipass doors to enhance the drab closet corner. A part of the wall was removed to create a much better feel and function.

Composite Deck

May 2011

The Owner wanted to enlarge the deck and updade the old tired wood. We sat down and discussed their needs and wants. After several designs and detail changes i completed a bid. The result was a gorgeous nearly maintenance free deck. A large space that allowed for entertaining, grilling, or family meals on the deck. The decking was Geo Deck and the handrails was an exterior product called smart trim. Once the smart trim was painted it seals like the exterior of your home, and will last a lifetime. Beautiful deck.

Art deco bathroom

Jan 2011

Full demo of the bathroom down to the studs. Just the demo was a task. Everything was thick plaster. The existing walls and tile mortar was plaster. The tile was a classic 70's Art Deco on 2" of mortar. The sink, toilet and tub were removed. A new tub, toilet, pedestal vanity went back in. A recessed mirror with vanity light complemented the fixtures. A waynes coat of black and white tile checkered the wall, and the floor was a 1x1 complement. Keeping the Deco theme with the pattern and a full cove bull nose. Giving the tile an extra "layer" from the wall. The sheetrock was a flat finish and white paint. A period door and casing was installed to complete the classic Miami Art Deco bathroom.

Kitchen

Jan 2011

The owner had a very small budget but needed to update her kitchen. The cabinets were in good shape so we painted the cabinets, removed a section to allow for a dishwasher and new stove. Build a new upper and lower cabinet, and above microwave cabinet. New sink and faucet, back splash, counter top, linoleum flooring, 2 new outlets and electrical fixtures.
