Bought a Big Ass Fan (that is the brand name) and it is due to ship mid-April so I will have it installed towards the end of April. It has an 84 inch diameter and hangs 1 foot down. The manufacturer says it will install on a standard ceiling fan mount. It has a wall mounted control. The fan will replace the ceiling fan that came with the house.
