James and Kyle are probably a good team and might be trusted for small projects and very simple remodels, as long as you can get receipts and don't pay advances except start-up fees. James is very unscrupulous with other peoples money and complex home additions. You'll get promised the world: "this ain't my first rodeo" so he says, but James is unfamiliar with building codes, for walls that extend 22', doesn't understand proper blocking and bracing and would rather do what he wants as opposed to what the customer wants. I paid James over $84K; on a $139K job, got about $28K in materials, a malformed slab, window products that were half the price of the windows I spec'ed in drawings, 6 skylights improperly installed and very disappointing and negligent workmanship for a project of this scope. James said he never promised to build or supply what I wanted... After that, James chose to abandon the project and took upwards of $47K of [my] unspent funds, I had to have the structure, roof and framing re-done by a competent contractor, James lost his house in a fire shortly after abandoning and has subsequently threatened to file bankruptcy if I try to collect money owed. Be very careful with this one, he's not the Christian he professes to be.

Quality, Professional and Honest!
The project went well. Had a short delay due to the insurance company but all the work by James was done in a timely manner and I am very satisfied with the end results.

We had a great experience working with Jay. He did an excellent job. We would recommend him to anyone who is planning a renovation.
