This was a very disappointing experience. Bullet points - I agreed to pay over $1000 to have furniture stained and expected professional quality work for that price. Kent (poorly) stained wood the wrong colors with an exterior toxic stain which I did not find out until he came to drop off. I had to research a non toxic option - he was not well educated or experienced in the area of staining furniture and choosing stains. The final result is that the stain is not even, there are spots where it is clumpy and others where it is sheer. After almost 2 months of being without 5 pieces of furniture that held my clothes, when he finally returned the pieces that he was unable to match to the furniture (as he said he would) it was a horribly executed job. He did not remove drawer knobs so some are now "painted" on and I cannot remove them. Of the ones I can remove, because he stained it with the knobs on, there are spots without stain so I cannot change the knobs which was part of my upgrade plan. He did not clean up the wood shavings in the drawers and cabinets so when I put my clothes in, they were covered in wood dust and had to be washed. In addition, 4 of the drawers become stuck and are nearly impossible for me to open. I have to ask my husband to open them for me. I contacted Kent 3 times regarding this problem and still have not heard back from him. I gave him time to respond and rectify the situation but he chose not to. I need to have the furniture redone but after paying 1000, I do not have the money to do so at this time. I wish I had left the furniture as is. Even if it had been done for free, the hassle and poor quality make it not worth it.
