We paid a 50% deposit to have our home painted. Dan Barnes took our money cashed our check then proceeded to lie to us for several weeks regarding starting our work. He also told us he purchased our materials. After weeks of not getting anywhere with him, we asked for our money back ($525.00) or the materials he purchased and the remaining amount of our deposit left. At this time we were finally given a truthful statement when Dan indicated he never had purchased materials. Fast forward one year and we are STILL waiting for our money to be returned. We no longer own this home and he has said he will work off the deposit for us, I would rather get my money and cut all ties with him and his business. He ripped us off knowingly and we have contacted the police but we were told that it was a civil matter and there wasn't anything they could do. Now he is offering to give us his 2005 van. Which we don't want, we simply want our money back. DO NOT CONTACT THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!
