I highly recommend ESG Design. I spent 7 weeks looking fora structural engineer who would take on a small project for me. Most never called back. The ones that did, dropped off after a few emails. But ESG was different from the beginning. He answered my request within hours, gave a very reasonable price, set a timeline, checked in when he neared the timeline to tell me the status and got the project done very, very quickly. He's easy to work with and did more than I expected.

I renovated my house, doing most of the work myself, but needed an expert to verify that removing some walls would be structurally sound. Eli was really helpful and thorough, crawling into our tiny attic to check on how the framing and beams there connected, and providing lots of good advice for me to not only do the work safely and correctly, but get it through the City of Seattle permitting process. I would recommend him and would hire him again for anything similar.

My children bought a home whose previous owners had removed part of a bearing wall and left it insufficiently supported. We found ESG Design through Angie's list. Eli examined the structure and wrote up a report detailing the options to fix it. A couple of months later we called him again to examine the foundation because we are interested in a seismic retrofit. Again, he prepared a detailed report for us. It was a pleasure to deal with Eli. We highly recommend him.
