Derrick and his team came to paint our house trim and replace rotten wood. It looks amazing! They scheduled us very quickly once I chose my paint color

We had our roof done by Grace 4 U. Derek himself came to our home to give us the quote. He was very personable and quite a salesman, repeatedly promising that we would be pleased with his work. I even shared that we had had a bad experience with a previous roofing contractor and were a little leery now to which he reassured us he would make sure everything was done right and make sure we were happy. His company came and completed the job in a timely manner. Unfortunately after they left, we discovered that his roofers had slipped and pulled the gutter on the corner of our home away from the roof, ripping the soffit as well. That was in November 2019. We have contacted him 15 times since then, each of which he promised to come out the following week. We now have a family of birds who has made their way up into our attic through the hole. We have yet to see Derek or his crew and are filing in Small Claims Court now.

What a disappointing experience! The owner Is more about getting his payment and moving to the next job than customer service ans satisfaction. We told him several times to paint our house the same colors that we already had. He doesn’t carry any paint swatch books. We had to depend on documentation from 15 years ago. Unfortunately we provided the wrong name of the color as we has no swatch to see. While his crew knew it was wrong when they started to apply it he didn’t stop them. They asked. He told us he thought the wrong brown faded to the requested red. He didn’t knock on the door to come into my house where I was sitting to verify if he should continue. When I called him on it there is no apology. Instead we had to scramble to find the right color, negotiate how to make a right, and agree to pay more. The following day we received a text asking for final payment, yet the job was still not completed. We had to negotiate to pay a portion of the final payment and with hold an amount to ensure the job would be done. Finally while he knew we were out of town, he texted the day he was to arrive and complete the job and ask for the final payment before he would finish fixing the weatherstripping he had taken off a door, fix the wrong color paint and paint our front door, which he had forgotten to do. Prior to our trip departure we had let him know we would be home around 5:30 that day and would pay him in full. Why in the world would you text the customer you knew was out of town on a family trip?! This might be the best paint job ever, but it was simply worst customer experience ever. Derek should slow down and try for doing right by the customer instead of worrying about lining his pockets.

Let me start off my saying, I believe in the best of people and this is the first bad review I have ever given a company. Derek, the owner, has no professionalism and his follow through is so poor we are forced to take him to small claims court because he hasn’t followed through on our warranty. The roof was poorly replaced and never corrected the shingle that was not properly put on. His team didn’t properly vent out the pipes from our attic and Derek cane back and asked if we had “duct tape” to seal them back. Seriously duct tape?! Now our gutter guards are following off and this is only 7 months later. He no longer responds to or calls or emails about fixing these issues. So, save yourself and go with any other company.
