Avoid this company at all costs – especially if you're moving from out of state. I had one of the worst rental experiences of my life with this company, and I strongly urge anyone considering renting from them to look elsewhere. The property manager, Simon, was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional throughout the entire ordeal. I was relocating from a different state and relied on the video tour they provided—big mistake. The house looked completely different in person. It was clear that the property had been neglected for a long time. The floors were damaged and uneven, with tiles cracked and peeling. The refrigerator was leaking water all over the kitchen floor, the dishwasher was broken and leaking as well, and the microwave had a huge crack in it and was filthy inside. Multiple electrical outlets didn’t work, and several were damaged and looked unsafe. The entire house was dirty—like genuinely disgusting. There were marker stains on the cabinets, layers of grease and dust covering the kitchen surfaces, and it smelled musty like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. To make matters worse, it was July, and the central air conditioning was completely broken—something you'd think they’d check before someone moved in during the Arizona summer. The backyard was a disaster: all dead plants, dry straw-like grass, dog poop scattered around, and even leftover junk from the previous tenants. And despite it being a mess when I moved in, the lease actually itemized landscaping as my responsibility, which is outrageous given the condition I inherited it in. I documented everything with photos and a detailed written record on day one to protect myself. When I contacted Simon to report the issues and ask him to acknowledge the prior damages, he flat-out refused to initial or sign anything. He clearly didn’t care and just wanted to push all responsibility onto the tenant. Emails went unanswered, concerns were brushed off, and maintenance was either ignored or delayed unnecessarily. I’m a pretty easygoing person and take pride in caring for my home—even my previous landlord complimented me when I moved out. But this place? It was a nightmare from day one. Do yourself a favor—do not rent from this company. They will scam you, ignore your concerns, and leave you stuck in a filthy, poorly maintained home with no support. If I could give negative stars, I would.

Over the past (almost) 7 years as a tenant with lovely homeowners, Denali Real Estate has unfortunately been the "middle man" serving as the property manager. My experience with this business has been horrendous. The Manager of the Mesa, AZ office location is one of the most unpleasant and disrespectful individuals I have encountered. His lack of respect, courtesy, and compassion for people is evident in his highly unpleasant demeanor whether it be via telephone or email. His deliberate belittling and arrogant demeanor have proven him to be just another basic white man given minimal access to a self-induced belief of power and certainly a regrettably pathetic/mediocre representative of this business.

Terrible experience. They don't return refunds or emails or texts or phone calls. They will charge you for maintenance items that are their responsibility using a company called Acadia Home Maintenance, LLC owned by the owner of Denali. After getting the Attorney General involved they sent a snapshot of a mailing label saying they sent the check (I have a locked mailbox and USPS informed delivery) they claimed they will re-issue the check, but don't do it. Then they claim they handled it on online reviews. REPORT TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL

They never returned my deposits at the end of my lease and now I have to sue the landlord to get them back. Mike VanVleck is an absolute scum bag
