I retained the services of Builders Diversified Services in Mesquite, Texas from your website and I want to share with you the horrible experience I am still having as a result of using this company. This is the middle of week 4 and I have encountered yet another problem from the incompetent workers that were performing the work on my bath renovation. This was a bathroom renovation/update for the master bath and guest bath that are not very large. The work to be performed was as follows: 1. Remove and install new toilets in both bathrooms 2. Remove and install new shower/bathtub tile 3. Remove and install new bathtub 4. Remove and install shower door in master bath 5. Minor plumbing work needed to raise the height of the shower head and the bathtub spicket 6. Remove popcorn ceiling, tape and bed afterwards and paint the ceiling in both bathrooms 7. Regrout the existing floor tiles to match the grout used on the new tiles 8. Remove and install new light fixtures This proprietor’s work crew never showed up at 9a when I was told by the proprietor that they would and they never worked more than 3 or 4 hours. I experienced theft, cash taken out of my wallet from a member of the work crew. Then the work crew just abandoned the job. The proprietor was scrambling to get workers to complete the work and as a result there were 2 days with no activity on the bath renovation and this was the beginning of week 2, when I was assured that it would only take one week to complete a simple bathroom renovation on 2 small bathrooms, and I was on vacation to have this done. Needless to say after a whole week of minimal progress, this project flowed into week 2, and I had to find someone to house sit the work. I was led to believe that the Proprietor had a few work crews and that was not my experience. One of his workers was at my home in excess of 24 hours, yes overnight, I allowed it because there was not that much left to get done and I did not want to take a chance of this worker not coming back the next day. Well in the middle of the night while he was painting the ceiling, he dropped a piece of equipment and it chipped my brand new tub in 2 places and they were 2 large chips. He did not inform me what happened and tried to cover it up with some kind of white mass. A different worker did not install the shower pan correctly and that caused flooding in my bathroom, damaging my 1 year old carpet in my bedroom and bedroom closet. With skilled reliable workers, this project should have been completed in 7 days tops, however it continued for another 6 days and the project is still not completed. After the worker who was at my house in excess of 24 hours (came Friday evening left for a few hours Saturday afternoon, returned and left my house on Saturday at 10p), I told the Proprietor on Saturday evening after that worker left at 9:50p, that I was done with this project. On Sunday I told the Proprietor not to send any more workers to my home and I would find my own workers to complete the work. In week 3 we had the chance to use the shower in the guest bathroom because we had to wait 72 hours for the porcelain overlay to cure completely and then the water spicket that fills the tub came right off with the part of the plumbing pipe stuck in it. Now I have to have the brand new tiles removed, call a plumber to fix it and have new tiles reinstalled. This has been the most stressful, disappointing, frustrating experience I had ever been through. I give this company a F rating. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
