One star is being a tad generous. He was hired in December of last year to complete interior work after Hurricane Florence destroyed most of our house. In accordance with the payment schedule on the contract, he was paid by our mortgage company as work was completed. At one point he told us he was owed more money and needed payment before he could do anymore work. Mortgage company paid him a little more than he was owed, IAW the signed contract, I suppose to keep him happy. He then told us he was still short money and would not return until we paid more. We explained that he needed to take it up with the mortgage company, as they controlled the funds. It was at this point that he sent a text to my wife and I calling us, “pieces of sh!t” and thanked us for, “f@cking him over”. He was too gutless to have a phone conversation with me, and would only send his threats in texts. He threatened to take us to court and his lawyer would do blah blah blah. Well, unlike most people, we actually have a real estate attorney, who reviewed the contract and the amount of work which still needed to be completed and told us the law was on our side. I attempted to get Ed to complete the trim work in the garage, which he claimed was done. Until I sent him photos detailing what still needed to be completed. I had before photos which showed all areas he was to provide trim and molding. Furthermore, he wrote the contract in a deceitful way in regards to replacing a sliding glass door with a window. He put that work down as “other”. My wife, being a trusting person and at her limit of dealing with post storm nightmares, took Ed for his word and signed the contract. He not only never completed the window work, but he never even started the work. In fact, he continually tried to talk me out of replacing the door. My friend and I did it in one day and neither of us claim to be experts. He put up trim on six doors. All six doors had nails which were sticking out the other end of the trim. I used six tubes of caulking to fill in the gaps around his trim work. So yeah, hire this guy at your own risk. Unless you want crappy work, threatening texts and lies.

Ed painted a living room and kitchen for me. He took the time to ensure it was a quality job and that we were happy with it.

We had the pleasure of hiring Mr. Mehling through this website and he delivered excellence service. He did a great job painting throughout our house. He was very polite and we would definitely use him in the future! Would definitely recommend him!

Robersonville whole house interior trim job | Jun 2016 | Our crew was responsible for all the molding in this totally renovated interior. The homeowner saved all the original doors and some of the moldings for re-use. We were able to match the new molding with the original. We worked closely with all subcontractors to get the job done on time and within the budget. | $6k | Robersonville, NC |
