This company stole $1,000 from me and is not responding to the Attorney General or myself. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY PROVIDE POOR WORK, OVER CHARGE, AND THEN STEAL MONEY WITH NO RESPONSE. I hired this company to install new wiring and update wiring on a cabin in Hocking Hills. I was given a proposal and we agreed to the terms. This company oddly required a 75% deposit of the entire project, but I was willing to pay because contractors are so hard to find. This company rescheduled my project over 4+ weeks, told me 3+ different last minute medical emergencies causing the delays, and then when I was told work was completed I went to the job site and had photo proof no work even started. After being lied to and rescheduled multiple times, I told the owner Shawn Rutter that I wanted my deposit back and was terminating services. I was then dodged for nearly a month and told I would at some point receiving a refund MINUS fees and 30% restocking fee of wire costs. I asked to just pickup the wire myself since I paid for it and they told me that wasn’t possible. I also asked for a breakdown of fees and a receipt showing wire was actually paid for and I didn’t even receive a reply except one email saying to stop calling and emailing. I then contacted the Attorney General and now neither them nor myself have received a reply from Shawn or GEN Services Inc. I did recently receive a partial refund, however $1,000 was withheld with zero explanation as to how there’s $1,000 of fees when no work was even completed. No contract was signed stating any contract termination terms either. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. THE OWNER SHAWN RUTTER AND HIS TEAM, INCLUDING KRISTINA, ARE THEIFS AND CON ARTISTS.
