Growing up in the Adirondacks, our family was always involved in camping, hiking, hunting, and fishing. The scenery was beautiful and the area was well known for its great camps. Log homes and camps were quite common and I built my first log home at the age of 5 with a miniature set of Lincoln logs. My father was a great carpenter and had a big influence on me with his talents and craftsmanship. I knew I wanted to be a craftsman too, but did not realize how much that influence would follow me through life. Since that first log home, I have been building structures and have developed a passion for log homes. My wife, who is now officially retired, also works with me along with several very committed employees. There is a lot to be said for those dedicated people who get up each morning with the intention of making a difference by contributing their energy and skills on a project they truly believe will be a great success. Of course, you sometimes face problems that need solutions. So, we apply an optimistic outlook and a little insight and those problems seem to disappear as quick as they come. At the end of it all, I feel very fortunate to present each and every customer with the feeling of satisfaction knowing that we did the best job we could do for them. You can see it in our work.
