Solar Ready

May 2015

A Major project this is. It's a 2 story house with a bonus room over the garage. We replaced the old Trane unit, (a 6 seer at most) with the Dave Signature Series 21 SEER Lennox system. Replaced the entire duct work in the house, (R4.2 to R8 Insulation) and added a 3 zoned system. Now his upstairs, downstairs, and bonus room each have their own thermostat and set up for WiFi. Now he checks his phone and can adjust each floors temperature while away from home. We've got him all set up for Solar Energy and will soon make the install. Talk about energy savings!

Tight Space

Apr 2015

This job was real challenge with the location of the air handler, in the corner of a closet with the washer and dryer machines. A 1983 GE air handler that was installed when the housing was being built. We had to remove the dryer machine to get to the air handler. We installed a custom designed air handler and built plenum boxes to correctly adjust the height. On the outside everything went pretty smooth, (that unit in the past had been replaced back in 2000, a shame the air handler wasn't replaced along with it). Once the inside and outside were ready to go we cleaned up everything spotless. Upon inspection of the dryer vent we noticed it needed a clean. We offered a free dryer vent clean and upon acceptance we immediately got started. With everything clean and complete we gave all the paperwork and information concerning the new system and they were on their way to enjoy the energy saving system for years to come.

Replacement Project

Apr 2015

The Unit itself was a 1986 model Carrier. We added new plenum boxes on both the return and supply, sealed the ducts and installed their new Lennox in the crawlspace. Cleaned out the primary drain line, and added an overflow switch to the secondary line. We replaced the thermostat with a Honeywell. We installed the outdoor unit, brazed the line sets, put pressure to make sure there were no leaks, and then put a vacuum on the lines to pull out the moisture. Once everything was complete, we released the R410A refrigerant, and started the system up for its first time use.
