I bought an older home a couple years ago with a beautiful view. I knew when I bought it that I was going to need to either repair a lot of it or have a whole new deck built. Decided to go with new deck. Russell Ballew impressed me. He listens ! He built the most beautiful Trex deck for me . He shows up,works hard and finished in a timely manner! Hard to find this kind of quality contractors in Redding! Thank you Russell ,I'm sitting on my deck with a cup of coffee as I write this! Sincerely. Mark w.

Nice guy, but quiet-does not ask a lot of questions. You have to make sure he repeats back exactly what he will do, or you will not get a completed project. I had to hire someone to come behind and secure loose boards and stain the entire deck. The part of the reconstruction that was completed was done well.

This man gets the job done! Very polite and very reasonable ! Shows up unlike so many! Thank you for the Amazing remodel job in our home! Love my home ❤️

Russell won't give you a contract...and believes his opinion about what to expect matters more to him than the home owner. Russell has good carpenter skills but not fine finish work like tile and wall texturing.....I would say can paint a canvas but not a tree on the canvas. Make sure you hold back 20% to make sure the job is "done" per your expectations to the end.
