Section of yard or landscaping, Half our backyard is hillside, half is flat yard. The slope varies, some places it's 5%, some places it's straight up and down, with the lip of the steep part being about 12 ft. above the flat part of the backyard. This part of the hill is precipitous. We have planted about 5 trees on the hillside in the past several years, they are growing well and I think they help hold the slope. There is grass and ivy over much of the hill.
