I'd heard good things about this company, so I was surprised by their complete ineptitude when it came to my project. Saul Palacio was assigned as my project manager and in a year, he was on my property perhaps 15 times. The contract consisted of a 600 sq ft ADU and a 360 sq ft garage. After a year, the project still isn't complete. The framing was done incorrectly so the footing stuck out from the frame and it had to e sawed off in order for the stucco to be applied correctly. No piping was run from the house to the ADU for the water and gas prior to pouring the slab, so the home couldn't be connected to the utilities, causing my driveway and yard to have to be cut up after the fact to install the proper piping. The gas line to the laundry room was installed too high in the wall for the unit we were installing (and they had the make and model number of the unit ahead of time). The plumbing for the kitchen sink was installed beyond the plane of the wall, causing the plumbing to stick out and not allowing the cabinets to be installed flush to the wall, which had to be corrected after drywall was done. The measurements were off in the bathroom causing the toilet plumbing to be too close to the shower stall and the shower stall drain was not the right kind for a tiled shower (which was clearly specified in the plans) and was also not centered in the shower stall, requiring the concrete to be cut and the piping moved to correct. The ADU was never wired for AC/heat and it wasn't until I brought it up that they acknowledged it hadn't been done. The installed drain in the walkway was not done correctly so water does not drain as intended. Windows were installed sloppily with holes in the sealant. The wall for the sliding door was not measured properly and had to be torn out and re-framed, which included cutting the concrete footing, which was also incorrect. Venting was not installed for the stove/oven and had to be done after the fact. A temporary wall was installed on the main home back in March when the garage footings were poured and still, nine months later, isn't sealed, waterproofed, insulated, or finished, causing the main home dining to be flooded over Thanksgiving due to the rain and the faulty drain. And this is just what I've uncovered so far. It seems I'm finding more mistakes daily since a year later, the project still isn't complete as I had to fire PDS and hire another contractor to complete. What a complete nightmare! I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. If you value your time, money, and sanity, go elsewhere for your construction/remodel needs!
