I hired Jeff Alexander via Porch to do some work on my condo in San Jose—relocate a bunch of AV and network wiring, as well as run a new power outlet behind my TV. Jeff gave me a fair price for the work and easily adapted to changes I wanted in the job. He spent a long time in my attic running cabling around walls and other obstacles. He miraculously was able to reroute all the wiring without having to open a single hole in my drywall other than for new mounting plates and brackets, which is far better than any of the other electricians I got quotes from who wanted to open many new holes that they cautioned they do not repair, patch, and paint. After Jeff finished, I didn't even have a small amount of touch-up painting to do. He mounted speakers and a wi-fi access point on the wall, and the finish on everything is slick and smooth, with all cables hidden, dressed, and tied back. He also equalized the speakers in the surround sound system, which now sounds spectacular. I also enjoyed his company while he was at my house, and was a little sad when he finished and had to go. I will certainly be recommending him to my friends and family who may need electrical work done.
