About Jaxx Built LLC
Jaxx Built owners Ira Gumm and Mark Dobbin have both lived in the Washington Metro area for decades and currently live here with their families. As your neighbors, we are happy to serve as a local contractor. Between us, we have more than 35 years of experience in the remodeling and home-building industry in the area. We help you identify a clear vision of your project from the outset and work with you to realize your dream. We understand that a renovation project is disruptive to your life and we strive to keep inconvenience to a minimum. When remodeling, for example, we carefully hang plastic curtains and cover floors to help protect other parts of your house from dust and dirt. We keep the workplace as tidy as possible as your project progresses. We understand that ongoing, clear communications bring peace of mind. We explain each work stage carefully and invite questions to make sure you are pleased with your project. We give you our cell phone numbers so you can reach us by text or call. Highly Recommended. Jaxx Built completed several repairs on the exterior of my home in Sterling, VA in November 2015 and did an excellent job. The project consisted of: (1) replacing a carport ceiling and access to attic area with a fire retardant material including painting, (2) replacing the wood fascia and wood supports supporting a large section of gutter, plus reinstalling the gutter soffit, (3) correcting the pitch of two sections of gutter on the back of the house, (4) adding two additional wood supports to the front porch ceiling to properly support the soffit (a portion of the soffit had actually fallen due to strong winds), and last but not least (5) preparing (sanded and filled small cracks) and applying two coats of high quality exterior masonry paint to the back and side foundation. It was a pleasure working with the owner, Mark Dobbin, and his team consisting of Mario, Joseph, and Ryan. Mark provided a professional, detailed estimate that matched my final charges. He and his team were all professional, reliable, trustworthy, responsive, and personable with a sense of humor (a plus). They truly went out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction. Jaxx Built does handyman services and much more. They are licensed (Class A) and fully insured. I would definitely use them again and have already referred them to friends and neighbors.
