Dangers Of Not Doing A Routin Check On Kitchen Counter-Top Outlets | Feb 2015 | A regular client reported to us that his coffee pot had quit working about a week ago. When we got the home and we removed the coffee pot it turned out to be a little more serious than we all thought it would be. On the images you can see how the outlet completely melted and had actually caught fire but luckily it was contained by the electrical box and it self extinguished causing damage to paint, wiring and the electrical box itself. The electrical fire was caused do to a loose wire connection on the outlet. Poor workmanship when terminating wires onto an outlet can cause real trouble. Simple installs like these are commonly overlooked by homeowners and taken lightly day after day. Luckily for all of you out there licensed electricians are available to give you a piece of mind that every installation made is 100% safe and done with the highest standards. Sharp Electric can proudly say is it one of those companies and we keep working everyday to keep that high standard. | $250 | Tucson, AZ | |
