VK & Sons, Inc.

V.K. & Sons, Inc. started out great when I hired them to paint the entire exterior of my house during the summer of 2021. This was an expensive job and had to be done right. The job was successfully completed, and V.K. & Sons, Inc. was promptly paid in full for their services. I had no hesitation based on the way the exterior paint job turned out in handing additional work to V.K. & Sons, Inc. That was my first mistake!!! I had V.K. & Sons, Inc. order a brand new Anderson sliding glass door, as well as a brand new Pella window. Both items took a few months to arrive which they finally did on separate dates. They were eventually installed except for caulking and painting which could not be done due to cooler temperatures. Both the Anderson sliding glass door and Pella window had already been 100% paid in full prior to the caulking and painting being scheduled at a later date when warmer temperatures would prevail, and the work could finally be completed as promised by both the "owner" and "carpenter" of V.K. & Sons, Inc. The "balance" of work owed me to caulk and paint the interior and exterior trim around the Anderson sliding glass door, as well as painting the exterior of the Pella window was never completed as promised, even though we had already had a number of days where the weather had been appropriate in finally completing these two jobs. I was left with no option but to hire and pay approximately $600.00 to another highly recommended reputable carpentry/painting contractor to complete the already paid for work that V.K. & Sons, Inc. failed to do. The next "issue" I had with V.K. & Sons, Inc. involved a 2022 winter scheduled interior paint job of which I had given two separate sizable deposits for back in November and December 2021. The job was to begin after the Christmas and New Year holidays on or around January 2022. I waited almost 90 days after giving the deposits to finally cancel the job completely. I requested an immediate refund from the "owner" who gave no apology or excuse for the delay in an e-mail, but instead told me that I could pick up the check at his shop in Oakland and "good riddance". I realized based on recent GOOGLE reviews that my interior job had either been completely forgotten about, or had been improperly postponed because of other customer's interior paint jobs. At that point, I contacted another highly recommended reputable carpentry/painting contractor to start the interior job which has now been finally and successfully completed. As a good, patient, and repeat customer who always paid promptly no questions asked, it really surprised me how poorly V.K. & Sons, Inc. handled this entire situation. Based on my less than pleasant experience, aside from the exterior paint job which turned out quite well, I will no longer use V.K. & Sons, Inc., or recommend them to others.

What a great job they did! They arrived on time everyday, cleaned up after each day and all the workers were very friendly. I am so happy I chose them to paint my home!

Very professional and helpful. They were initially contracted to paint the full interior of our new house which they completed in a timely manner and it looked great. Mark and team came back after the house settled (due to new construction) to touch up any areas that were cracked due to settling. While here, we spoke about water issues we had in the basement and Mark was able to test for mold, help us clean it up and prevent its reoccurance. He also provided us helpful tips for the future. regarding the mold and the paint. I am very happy with their service and would recommend them to others.
