Tidal Deck and Design

After nearly 4 years I finally hired another contractor to finish the work so the deck would pass the county inspection. I recommend you never allow Tidal on your property.

STOLE MY DEPOSIT! Showed up to do estimate, took deposit then when he could not do the work did not return my deposit. He did make partial repayments but kept the last $500.00 and stopped answering phone calls and email. Even blocked me from contact on his social media site. This company is criminal.

Had deck constructed by Tidal and except for some communication problems we were happy with the new deck. Some boards have started popping up and attempts to have corrective work have been impossible. First, 3 or 4 promises to come look at the problem were never honored. Then, no answers to phone calls or e-mails were acknowledged. Will now resort to BBB complaint although other complaints do not appear to be satisfied.

Our experience with Ray and Jammie Tavenner of Tidal Deck & Design has been horrible. We signed a contract and made a deposit on February 25th to build an enclosed porch and deck. To date, August 16th, we have 15 holes dug in our backyard. We asked Ray if we can cancel the contract and said he doesn't have any of our $15K deposit to give back. Do your homework before you hire. We wish we did our homework on Tidal Deck and it's now costing us $15K and a backyard mess of holes and mud.
