Roto-Rooter/AAA Concrete

J.D. Bush came to Albany and started AAA Concrete Products in 1949. His partners were L.T. Shefield, Woodrow Beech and Paul Beech. The original intent of AAA's founders was to go into the manufacture of masonary block; however, a competitor who was also in the ready mix concrete business told local contractors that if they purchased block from AAA, they could no longer purchase concrete from them. This forced AAA into the ready mix business. By 1960, Mr. Bush had acquired the interest of his other partners in AAA and by doing so became sole owner of the company. His son, J. Dell Bush, became the President of AAA in 1963 after his graduation from the University of Alabama. He retained that position until January 1, 2001 when he became Chairman of the Board and CEO.
