I feel like these reviews are fake or from family members/friends. The 1 star reviews on Yelp, back-up the experience I had. Initially hired him to install a ceiling fan. While he was in my house, I also asked him to turn on my swamp. We had also scheduled a future kitchen countertop installation/plumbing for kitchen sink. He NEVER SHOWED/answered his phone/called, for my kitchen countertop installation. I was left scrambling to find somebody, because I had already ordered the countertop and he was supposed to pick it up. In re my fan, when I tried to pull the chain months afterwards, he installed it in such a way, that the pull-chains do not pull properly. I also had issues with my swamp cooler running properly, after he turned it on. Had to hire somebody else to fix the problem and was told the person who turned it on (ie Martin - didn't do it properly. Yes, he's cheap, but it is also reflected in the quality of work. You get what you pay for. Very unprofessional to schedule work and not even answer your phone! Not a happy customer. Definitely would NOT recommend.
