K & 0 landscaping design

Similar to the other two posts, I had a horrible experience with a heavy tree limbs removal project. The job was incomplete and he was prepaid for some of it. Ultimately, I ended up doing most of the clean up work myself and also hired more help to assist. He would not respond to any of my calls or texts. Very unprofessional and his work wasn't good. He's not ready to for this type of work on his own. Don't waste your time and money!

We wanted to help out a young guy who was fairly new to the landscaping business. He showed us pictures of jobs he did and we received positive recommendations from 2 people over the phone. Once he started the project it was obvious that he really did not know what he was doing. He came to spread 2 loads of top soil with 3 other helpers and only had 1 small, old wheel barrel and needed to borrow our shovels and wheel barrel to work on the job. He needed extra money from us to purchase one load of top soil, grass seed and to pay his workers since he used the money we initially gave him to pay his personal bills. He did not read the directions on the grass seed package in order to plant it correctly. We finally had to tell him that we would finish the job ourselves. We lost money hiring this landscaper. We hope he will educate himself more on the proper way to landscape but for now we do not recommend hiring him.

If i could leave less than 1 star...I would. Despite being told multiple times where the property line ends, Ortiz did not listen and only mowed half of my .46 acre yard. Multiple piles of tall grass remained and the weeds were not trimmed by the foundation of the house. My neighbors and I were in shock at the poor work ethic and final state that the lawn was left in. Unfortunately I was at work and Ortiz took a check for the agreed upon amount even though the work was not completed. When I came home, I took photos and called Ortiz to fix the issue and they assured me it would be fixed the following day (it was not). I also called back to ensure it would be fixed the after...and was promised that he would arrive the following A.M knowing that I had guests in town (I stressed the importance of completing the work). Ortiz however cashed the check and did not show to complete the work as agreed upon. Now he is no longer responding to phone calls and I have hired someone else to fix the poor work left by Ortiz Landscaping. I do not recommend this company for any work. I will be taking additional action to refund my money for work that was not completed. What should have been a bi-weekly mowing contract turned into a one time nightmare. STAY AWAY from Ortiz Landscaping Service. The owner is dishonest and does not complete projects as agreed.
