I am a former employee of his company and I cannot stress enough how important it is to stay away from companies like this. I say companies because as of now there are at least 6-8 companies all with shared owner(s) that all work the same way. You probably feel comfortable doing business here because of he online ratings. However, this is solely do to the ignorance of customers who know nothing about the construction and sales business and the manufactured consent created by their sales reps. First of all this company used to consist of three other companies Everlast Home Energy Solutions(main), Powerstar HES, and Direct HES. They all closed by 2018(less than 10 years in business), changed their license twice, and then changed their name to Select. ALL of the work here is subcontracted out to other companies. There is NO in house work at all. This is why you pay 2-4 times as much as any other company. You are literally paying a sales rep to sell the contract to a marketing department who then sells it to a sub contractor. While the Anlin window is good for a retro fit, all other products are the lowest standard in the industry. They use the absolute cheapest and bare minimum for your roofing, hvac, and coating. These cheap products and labor is why companies like this don't last past ten years. The fail rate and online negativity catches up pretty quick. All this company consists of is a telemarketing department and a small office of "project managers." I was a PM and I can tell you that the title is a joke. There is very little to be said about the quality of this production department. When you receive a call from the telemarketers it is being illegally recorded. They actually pay them through a different corporate name so Select won't be on the hook for the many illegal things they do. The rep that comes out is not an employee. They are ALL subcontracted sales reps. Some of which are illegal and unlicensed do to previous felony convictions. The story they spin is to ensure you never think critically about getting other quotes or doing any research whatsoever. The model home or Green Home Investment Program are completely made up and there is NO marketing money applied to your job. Every homeowner gets this story(some seasoned reps have others). The pricing tool they use simply adds 10-30% over the bottom. This story has been in use since all the partners of this company worked together at Gemstar Builders in the early 2000s. It amazes me how many homeowners blinding fall into this trap. Many of he things I have personally heard reps do and say would place fear in any homeowner. The amount of lying throughout the sales process is abhorrent and should be illegal. I could type a novel on these companies but unfortunately we are limited. I have included some pictures as well.
