It was very bad experience. After shelling thousands of dollars in the backyard concrete job, it is very hard to think about mistakes that turns into big blunders you cannot correct. Leo is professional enough, but his work is not. He may be busy with lot of other projects around and neglected mine. I feel absolute waste when I look at the final product. Work: Holes of about a quarter show up within a week. Within two weeks, cracks are formed between the concrete lines for every line that they drew. They don't even know how to do "stamped concrete". They left the broom powder on the concrete for 2 days that leaves the concrete to lose it's original color in it. He compromised quality of the concrete. He left the project to his un-professional subordinates. He possibly sub-contracts to others, since he is having lot of jobs around. Price: He initially says one price, when final estimate done, it will be higher than the initial price. If client does not respond he approaches that he has a gap and want to do for less and he will come up with near to initial estimates to lure/trap. After the agreement done, he brings options (do you want that or this, if you want that it costs more). One example of how his pricing works: He initially said there will be high cost ($800!!!) to lift the "A/C" to pour concrete saying that he needs to hire a person to do it. But, when he come up with estimate, he added it free, without even bargaining for it. When actually has to lift the A/C, no special person came. One final word: He can't even trust his product. He is afraid of doing pressure wash the concrete, because he thinks the concrete falls apart due to the pressure. Ans: Your 8 hours absence caused low quality concrete in my backyard. You haven't worked 2 weeks, you wrapped up in a week as you wished. But as I mentioned, the quality was compromised to the fullest level. There is no doubt about it. Your intention was always to wrap it as soon as possible and move onto your other commitments. If you can't provide the quality for the dollar amount we agreed for, you should not even taken the project. I didn't put all my opinions/experiences here, like you sending me the contract for signing it before the project, but never sending me a signed copy with your signature!!! Not responding to my calls when I called you with problems!!! Don't forget Leo, you clearly agreed several times that your mistakes caused the damage. But, without telling me the mistakes, you asked for the final payment and took the check also. I realized right after giving the check. Only good part with you was, when i asked you not to deposit it, you didn't and gave that check back to me. But, remember, if I haven't asked you about the mistakes, your intention was to leave quietly without telling me the mistakes in the project. When you have quality in your work, you don't need to deal with clients. The quality talks. Don't show me as a negative person here. My suggestion to you is, provide your quality more than your profits.
