We at SniffMold & Wilson & Brothers have been providing indoor air quality & home repairs services for over 20 years. We are a small company with big company experience and we have a lot of pride in what we do. Our team has successsfully detected and resolved mold issues in homes and businesses caused by natural disasters, burst pipes, plumbing leaks, roof leaks or just high humidity. As well as solving the mold issues we have repaired and put back all the mold projects that we cleaned. We have put back sheet rock, painted, carpentry and flooring to help your customers with all there needs with one stop shopping. We have spent hundreds of hours in the classroom as well on the job to give you the best educated answers about the growth and removal of the mold and regarding the safety of your family, employees or customers. Over the years of performing visual inspections and taking air samples, we discovered that it wasn't what we could see -- it was what we could not see -- that was frequently the source of the mold problem. So to more precisely pinpoint hard to find mold behind walls, we welcome Maggie our new a Certified Mold Dog. By utilizing a mold detection dog on staff, it gives SniffMold that competitive edge on locating hard to find mold and significantly reduces remediation costs for our customers! Traditional mold detection methods can be costly, and take a great deal of time. A certified mold dog generates faster, more accurate results, ensuring lower remediation costs. We consider "Maggie", our mold detection dog, to be one of the most effective tools in our arsenal for discovering and confirming the presence of mold growth in the indoor environment. Dogs are amazing animals and Maggie loves her job! She always beats us to the door when we ask her if she is ready to go to work. Maggie's ability to discover hidden reservoirs of mold is exceptional. We often use Maggie's skills to give on-the-spot confirmation that the substance that we can see is indeed mold. Using a mold detection dog often saves our customers money and provides them with a more effective mold inspection of the property in question.

If there was a way to rate Sniffmold/Wilson Brothers a negative star rating we would do so. We hired this company after our home suffered water damage from ice dams this past winter of 2014. Everything Wilson touched they made worse. They removed a portion of our garage ceiling to treat mold and when they replaced that portion of the ceiling they finished the blueboard with joint compound instead of plaster, smearing it all over the ceiling not just the joints and getting it all over the place including our wheelbarrow which they didn't bother moving out of the way. They also failed to strap the blue board to the joists which would have eventually sagged. We had to hire a plasterer to re-do that section of ceiling which cost us an additional $500. In our kitchen Wilson gouged our oak hardwood floors while installing a small section of tile near our breakfast bar. The tile was cut so poorly that it was chipped along the edge where it met the wood floor, and installed improperly. Wilson also managed to make a 2" hole our breakfast bar while removing the old tile. Again we had to hire a professional to remove the tile and replace it and repair the wood flooring that was damaged, costing us another $500 plus the tile and grout out of pocket cost ($90). Wilson also scratched our stainless steel kitchen sink by using it to clean up the grout during the tile job. The sink was a special order which had cost us $500. They also cost us so much in time and grief. One of the Wilson brothers did a poor, sloppy job painting our kitchen walls. He got paint on our ceiling because he couldn't cut in properly, didn't bother to tape, dripped paint on the baseboard and window trim and the old paint color is showing through in places. Wilson also tried to overcharge us on mold remediation and painting the ceilings on our first floor which they claimed required four coats yet there are still areas on our ceiling which didn't receive any paint at all, which makes you wonder how they could miss the same areas four times! Wilson started to remove the silicone around the double windows in our kitchen which leaked and then threw up his hands after removing only a small portion, cutting gouges in the wood trim and then left it like that for weeks and weeks. Again we had to hire someone else to repair the windows. All we got were excuses, promises fix the mistakes and damage which they never followed through on and then they tried to hit us with overcharges on the mold remediation. Wilson talks a good game but fails in professionalism and basic workmanship and knowledge. He also brought his family problems to the job was injured from a prior job and unable to do the work we hired him to do. He should have never proposed to do the work. The final insult is they left bags of moldy building material, and unfinished cups of coffee and other garbage in our garage that we had to figure out how to get rid of. So much for following standards of safe removal of hazardous mold! They are frauds! We would never want to hurt an honest contractor's livelihood and wouldn't do so, but we are writing this review to warn the public about this contractor. We are so sorry to have ever hired them and we still haven't recovered from all their mistakes and poor workmanship. We paid Wilson a deposit of $2500 plus $200 for the kitchen painting and another $80 he borrowed for supplies one day when he had forgotten his wallet and we spent about $1500 repairing their mistakes and we still haven't fixed them all. Public beware of Snifmold/Wilson Brothers.
