Replace original conventional double hung windows,circa 1948 with modern double insulated glass units, known as "Replacement inserts". In addition, custom build new window sills and replace all exterior and interior trim to windows. Many of the parts had rotted away, or had been very poorly repaired. Some repairs were so shoddy, that framing had to be replaced inside of the walls. A very tricky addition was to make custom siding, by using typical bevel edge siding and changing it into shiplap style siding, to match up with existing siding on the home. An additional wrinkle was that as addition built on the house was covered in a different type of siding, called Novelty. So Nothing matched! But now it all does. Match, i mean.

Replace drywall walls, on exterior walls with new drywall, to (2) bedrooms. Surprise!! The existing ceilings were so poorly done, they collapsed after the walls were removed, so we had to replace them also. The exterior walls received R-13 insulation. Previously, they had NO insulation. This explains the high heating and cooling bills. Fresh paint and trim when done.
