Hired Steve to install an irrigation system earlier this year and was assured if there were any problems to give him a call & he’d come out & fix it. Let me say this did occur one time. Unfortunately, I’ve been calling & texting him for two months now in an attempt to get one of the Zones working. He showed up once & told the tenants he’d be back the following week with a helper. No show. He assured me another time he’d be there...no show. He finally answered a text on Monday stating he just received it & would contact the tenant to let them know what day he’d be there this week...so far they have heard nothing. My apologies to friends & neighbors who I referred him to. Unless you want the stress and angst of experiencing my situation...don’t hire this guy. He says all the right things until you’ve paid him.

We hired Steve Serum, owner of Keepin' It Green Sprinklers, for installation of a new sprinkler system in 2012 and again for ambient lighting last year in 2017. The sprinkler system has worked pretty well over the years, but one place where Steve's service needs major improvement is returning phone calls and follow-up service. He told us last year he would come out and service the system after we purchased the ambient lighting from him, but he never did, even after a couple unanswered phone calls. We had also received a special rebate offer from the City of Round Rock last year for a rebate on sprinkler repair service. We called Steve a couple times and left messages, but he never returned our calls. We finally had to call another company to get his system serviced. The ambient lighting was the same story: Right after his initial installation, we pointed out a large area in the main front flowerbed where it was completely dark. Steve came out twice after dark to get it right, but we still had the dark area. Seemed like he didn't really quite know how to fix the problem, so we bought 3 more additional path lights at $150.00 apiece from him in hopes of correcting the issue. However, 2 of the path lights were not placed properly and did not fix the problem. After that he ended up ignoring our calls, so I had to dig up the two path lights and place them so the light would be even. Problem solved by owner. Steve seems like a nice guy (he even loaned us his wheelbarrow for a week after he finished installing the sprinkler system). I've even referred him to a couple prospective clients (one he never called them back) but the other did use his services. It seems he's a one-man operation, so don't expect much service or follow-up after the initial installation. It's a shame, but after the ambient lighting issue, we just can no longer recommend Steve or Keepin' It Green Sprinklers.

Beware engaging this company for work on your home. We hired them to install both irrigation (for lawn sprinkling, garden and flower beds) and landscape lighting. The work they did was ok although left incomplete. Once we paid them the balance of their invoice, they refuse to return our calls, texts, or email requests for support in using the system or to come back and complete what was left undone. Take your chances, but I would recommend finding a company with an established professional reputation.

Excellent service and experience. They know what they're doing. Totally professional. Tell you when they're coming, what they're doing and what are estimated costs. And then they deliver on all. Could not ask for more.
