  | Classic Elegance | Mar 2019 | The kitchen and breakfast room in this project are in a home in Clayton. There was a support post in the middle of where the island now sits. All of the white cabinetry is inset which fits the age and style of this home. The island and buffet are full access cabinetry (european/open). The kitchen had last been remodeled in the 80's. This project involved tearing the kitchen and breakfast area down to the subfloor and studs. In addition to removing the post and opening up the space, all the electrical and plumbing was replaced, wood flooring was installed and finished, the adjoining den wood floor was refinished, new LED lighting was installed throughout, the back hallway was tiled, and this wing of the home was painted. PHD was responsible for the design, supplied all of the finish materials and fixtures, created the construction documents, assisted the client in hiring the contractors, and managed the construction. The client ask that the design a soaking tub, large shower, water closet, and beautiful vanity. Our driving goal was to deliver all that they ask for and make certain that the aesthetic and style fits this extraordinary home.
