Kitchen & fireplace remodel

Houston, TX

Southwestern

Jun 2016

Glamour prevails in this sharply-dressed Master bath of marble, from the large format, offset floor tiles to herringbone-patterned shower walls, tub surround, back splash, and counter tops. Polished nickel fixtures and hardware bring the bling along with a sexy chandelier and pewter medallion.

An interesting project - clients wanted to update bathrooms with period appropriate design.

Wedgewood Bath Renovation

Jan 2014

Calming, warm colors and materials have replaced white and outdated in this lovely new bathroom featuring a generous shower with bench and handy shampoo niches, granite countertops of different heights, a soaker tub with deck, and oil-rubbed bronze fixtures that play beautifully with the rich, warm stain of the wood cabinets. Creekbend

Jan 2014

What began as a gut job of a master bathroom became the creation of a soothing and functional retreat featuring a steam shower, a tub for two, ample vanity space, shower speakers and its own TV for staying in touch with the world if desired. Granite, glass, travertine, limestone, stainless steel and porcelain combine to make the master bath a destination. Photo: Dan Bawden. Design: Laura Lerond.

Yarwell Bath Remodel

Jan 2013

This dainty pink damsel became someone with something to roar about as she underwent a transformation of materials with mettle, and metal! The bathroom retained the same footprint but beautiful niches, a back-lit mirror, new cabinetry and an extraordinary glass and tile accent gave her new meaning and a solid presence. Emphasis was placed on universal design by using stylistic grab bars, levered handles and a wall-hung toilet to gain more floor space. Photos: Dan Bawden.

17th St. Bungalow

Jan 2013

The total redo of an out-dated and dysfunctional guest bath resulted in a vintage reproduction of a charming bathroom with beautiful accents that bring the past forward. A pedestal sink, beaded mirror, wall sconces, and a train rack towel shelf blend beautifully with glass mosaic in the shower walls and patterned floor. Photos: Dan Bawden. Design: Laura Lerond.

Crestwood

Dec 2005

Legal Eagle designed a spectacular two-story addition and renovated the entire inside of the home. The two-story addition expanded the home of the rear providing a new study downstairs, a master suite above that, and a game room on the first floor behind the pool, topped by a breezy, shady cabana sporting a special non-slip cushy rubberized floor for wet feet. Stairs were built outside for easy access to the cabana from the pool. Walls are removed to visually open up the kitchen into the large den adjoining it, and the entire space was retrofitted with 18 inch thick stucco arches, for a modern Spanish look. Stucco materials were matched outside and river-stone was added at the addition tie-in to add visual interest.
