Mae Lewis Construction Co. has done exceptional work on my home. I had water seepage in my basement for years. Mr. Lattimore and his workers were diligent in building the footings and waterproofing the walls to prevent further erosion and seepage. I have also had my bathroom and kitchen remodeled. I must say that there was much attention to details given to the remodeling of those two rooms. For high quality work and carpentry choose Mae Lewis Construction. I plan on utilizing their services again, since there is more work needed on "this old house".

All that I can say is BEWARE!!! Had I seen the other customer's review I would have never entered into a contract with this man. His company is him, his nephews (demolition work), a carpenter who he pays to do work for cheaper labor than more experienced professionals for some tasks, an 80 year old electrician and painter (we had to fire the first painter he brought into my home) and a taper who does poor quality work. My story in short: Contracted Aug '15 to do remodel the inside of my home with schedule of 3 payments. First two payments he received on time / prepaid covered 50% of the contract. The last payment covered the remaining 50% and was to be paid once the work was completed and passed a quality inspection. He took my money and I have had quality issues with every thing started in my home. No task in the house is complete except the floors which have to be redone because of bad quality. After he was paid per the schedule he began demanding I pay him some of the 3rd payment early because he was running out of money but I refused. He then refused to complete work that could have been completed even though he had the labor to do so and eventually quit (early October) 3 weeks past the date all of the work was supposed to be done because I wouldn't let him come in my house while I was at work. As if that isn't enough he filed a bogus lien on my property that I now have to fight legally. He didn't respond to BBB's request. Waiting to see what the attorney general will do. Of course, I've had to hire a layer. If you decide to ignore this review, get every single assumption expectation promise in writing. he changes his story once he is paid and when he runs into money issues.
