If you're looking at McDonalds for fence, PLEASE look elsewhere! The owner, Pete, is the rudest person I've ever met. My husband called him 2 years ago to install a fence. Pete asked about our property, fence type we were wanting and how many gates we wanted. My husband said we live on 2 acres. The land is not flat and it is very wooded. A few days go by and Mr. Harden called my husband with an estimate. My husband told him that we were happy with the estimate so they scheduled a crew to come out and get started. The crew was awesome. They were polite and hard working. By the end of the first day, Pete shows up. He was angry that the crew weren't able to work faster. He angrily said, "your property is terrible!" "I should have charged you more!" Stunned by his rude remark I said "Mr. Harden, I assumed you came by the property before giving an estimate." Again in a rude tone he said "I won't make that mistake again!" Then he stormed away. The fence was completed a few days later. We got chainlink around the back of the property and iron on the front. I noticed several places on the iron sections that were rusted and areas that weren't well painted. Also one gate was hung crooked, but I never said a word because I didn't want to deal with his hateful attitude again. We received our bill. The charges for the gates seemed high. My husband called Pete and once again Pete spoke to my husband in such an ugly way! He accused him of not being able to understand a basic bill! My husband said "Mr. Harden, the way it's written, it looks like you are charging us twice for one gate." Mr. Harden said "I don't know how else to explain it!" Then he hung up!! Pete Harden hung up on my husband!! Now let's fast forward to a month ago. We had terrible storms that lasted a few days. A portion of our chainlink fence fell over. My husband decided to call McDonald Fence since they were the ones to install. He felt it was only fair to pay them to fix it. He called nearly a week before Mr. Harden finally called back. My husband told him what happened and Pete Harden said "we don't do fence repairs." My husband said "well, what do your past customers do for repairs?" Mr. Hardens response was "call somebody else!" "I told you we don't do repairs!" Then just like 2 years ago, Mr. Harden hung up on my husband. Mr. Harden obviously needs some education in basic customer service. He could learn a lot from his own crew.
