My garbage disposal an Insinkerator Model Badger 500-1 stopped working last night with no warning. It is located on one side of a split sink. When I try to use it the normal whirr of the motor is quiet and nothing happens other than aerating the water in the disposal/sink which does not drain. The other side of the split sink drains just fine.
